Project description
What does the futures for wellbeing look like in dense urban areas? A prototype facility is designed to align the elemental biological needs for humans to access fresh air and sunlight. The experimental scheme brings a clear sense of freedom, playfulness and tranquility into a bustling urban setting. Spaces and routes through the building are planned to evoke the qualities and conditions experienced in wide open spaces into a controlled city block site. The proposal is grounded in evidence-based health approaches, leveraging the architectural structure to facilitate practices hindered by the constraints of densely populated urban areas.
