Project description
Architecture + Emergency is new approach to city building in response to the major climate threats facing London. It utilises the existing urban fabric by upgrading and providing ‘life support’ to city buildings through precise operations to improve their effectiveness and prolong their design lives. Much like the Embankment, which radically improved the lives of Londoners while fighting a major crisis, this new decentralised infrastructure will improve the lives of citizens while providing a framework which can be replicated across the city to enable a resilient city to be built.
