Project description
St George’s Precinct explores how the church can use its land and resources to alleviate homelessness, through a supported accommodation model, undergirded by training and development to rehabilitate residents back into society. This project seeks to enable the church to fulfil its ambitions to love the poor in society but also contribute to the church’s cultural relevance in the modern world. Regenerating a divided urban area by connecting St George-in-the-East to Tobacco Dock, the church forms a modern precinct in the heart of Shadwell.
